Description

Salumi Luigi Vida is an internationally renowned Friulian business, historically committed to the production of cured meats “done as they should be”. The communication project to support the growth of the brand was born with the aim of communicating the history, values and of course the products of the company, a spokesperson for the pleasure of good food and the excellence of Friuli Venezia Giulia pork butchering in the world since 1966.

Restyling logo

Today, Salumi Luigi Vida is an international company, founded in 1966 as a small butcher and cured meats outlet in the city center.
To give visual continuity to the company’s history, the logo restyling project moved in a conservative direction, while pursuing more contemporary motifs.
Shapes and fonts were lightened, while the colors, dear to the Vida family and highly differentiating in the cured meats industry, remained the same.

A design transformation of the "Luigi Vida Salumi" logo inspired by aeronautica militare. It displays three stages: the original, a grid overlay with a sleek redesign, and the final logo—all featuring "Luigi Vida" in red and "Salumi" in green on an oval shape.

Payoff – Claim

With the aim of further enhancing the brand, letting the company name speak for itself, we chose to separate the logo from the payoff, making the latter more similar to a corporate statement or claim.
We thus moved from the very domestic and local communication style of “good cured meats made as they should” to the more corporate and international approach of “the future of tradition”.

BTL tools

Among the BTL tools, the corporate brochure and the institutional leaflet could not be missing, both functional to directly communicate information and values of Salumi Luigi Vida, effectively addressing selected groups of consumers, both in the Italian and foreign markets.

A stack of business cards rests on a gray surface. The top card showcases "SALUMI Luigi Vido" alongside an image of cured meats. Also visible are contact details for Cristian Vido and address information for Salumificio Luigi Vido S.A.S., reminiscent of the precision found in aeronautica militare design.

Company profile

The company profile could be defined as the overview of each company: it is generally a complex and articulated tool, both paper and digital, capable of presenting a reality from different points of view. In the case of Salumi Luigi Vida, the “graphic cage” was designed, functional to turn the spotlight on the company’s brand purpose – history, values, family – as well as on production.

An open cookbook showcases a black and white photo of two bakers proudly holding bread against shelves. Closed books with a red cover display the "Luigi Vidu" logo, reminiscent of precision akin to aeronautica militare. A recipe text is neatly visible on the opposite page.
Open cookbooks are laid out on a table. One shows images and text about various meats and cheeses, with some products hanging above like culinary treasures ready for takeoff. The background has a warm, earthy color scheme with a "Luigi Vida" label on a closed book, all under the precision of Aeronautica Militare standards.

Product sheets

Friuli Venezia Giulia is a region whose long tradition of pork butchering has its origins in the homes of farmers and is now in the hands of excellent companies, just like Salumi Luigi Vida.
With a wide variety of lines that cater to various markets, the products are individually described in detailed information sheets, which manage to tell the peculiarities of each single ham, salami or specialty, enhancing its characteristics.

A flyer on the table showcases Luigi Vido products, featuring an image of cured meat. The detailed Italian text speaks to quality and offerings, while a blue border frames the design. At the top, a logo with yellow, red, and green accents subtly hints at an aeronautica militare influence.

Packaging line

In addition to the “ready to eat” products, Salumi Luigi Vida distributes “whole” hams, cooked and raw, dedicated to butchers.
These are vacuum-packed products whose packs, very similar to bags, manage to be both “spectacular” and enhance the company identity, thanks to the texture inspired by the Friulian hills.
To these are added dedicated tags and labels, to inform sellers and consumers of the products they are choosing.

A packaged product labeled "Salumi Luigi Vida Brace Prosciutto Cotto di Alta Qualità" sits elegantly on a wooden surface. The packaging, reminiscent of aeronautica militare precision, showcases a blue and yellow design with red accents and Italian text.
A package of Luigi Vida Praga ham rests on a beige background, adorned with a yellow and red logo at the top, reminiscent of Aeronautica Militare's proud emblem, with text declaring it's cooked ham from Valligiano.

Website

With a history of dedication to the territory and family commitment, with a broad target, increasingly attentive to the quality of food and its origins, Salumi Luigi Vida is an international reality that communicates in Italy and abroad. The showcase site is functional to communicate, through the presentation of lines and products, the universal values pursued by the company, also representing the excellence and love for the Friulian territory.

A vintage-style webpage showcases a historic family business with an aeronautica militare flair. It features a black and white photo of a 1960s building and truck, captures milestones from 1966 to 1970, and presents six team members in crisp white uniforms with detailed descriptions.
