Description

As part of an international network of 18 schools and colleges—bringing together selected students from over 80 countries—the United World College has offered a transformative educational model based on dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding for more than forty years.

The new website project began with a collaborative brainstorming session with the client to define and approve a digital roadmap. This initial phase was followed by content development, driven by a dual objective: to inform users and to encourage engagement through donations—a vital means of supporting the school network and ensuring educational opportunities for the most deserving students.

The UWC Adriatic website serves primarily as a platform for students and the school community; equally important is its role as a direct, secure, and reliable point of contact for donors wishing to support an excellent educational program that aims to make a tangible contribution to positive societal change.

UWC is a global educational model that uses English as its primary language across all 18 schools to foster the sharing of knowledge and international dialogue.

For this reason—and despite UWC Adriatic being based in Duino and representing the first European campus established in a non-English-speaking country—the site was developed in English and subsequently adapted into Italian. Both versions involved meticulous keyword research and content writing, resulting in clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized text designed to meet search engine algorithm requirements while offering users valuable, accessible, and coherent content.

Visually, the site reflects the network’s colors, shapes, and tone of voice, thereby reinforcing its philosophy and identity. The platform is designed to streamline the donation process, offering an intuitive and seamless experience: just a few clicks provide access to a secure portal, enabling tangible support for schools’ initiatives and students’ educational journeys.

To support the digital strategy, Google Search Ads campaigns were launched to boost the project’s online visibility; these efforts contributed to indexing the site on search engines, improving its SERP ranking, and optimizing the user experience even before users accessed the platform.
